National Account Manager - Tesco

An exciting opportunity within a well established British food manufacturer has recently been brought to my attention for a national account manager to look after Tesco across the UK. Although an urgent requirement for the business, they will be keen to ensure that any applicants are well experienced in managing the account at a senior level.

The role will primarily involve delivering gross margin and net sales with Tesco, initially focused on the existing branded and private label goods and then focusing on winning new business in new catagories. Other aspects of the role include negotiating the annual joint business plans, negotiating all elements of cost pricing, manage product mix to maximise margin and monitor sales vs forecast on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Experience managing the Tesco Account

Experience of the UK Grocery Private Label, ambient experience will be a distinct advantage

A proven track record of category management

A background in managing an Account P&L

Ability to Forecast volumes and financials

A willingness to travel
